To accommodate the stone sink, the cabinet has to be strong enough as stone sinks are very heavy. Many bathroom interiors feature the pedestal bathroom sink with the pedestal as a single column supporting the sink. The sink itself is a drop in type set in the column. The plumbing parts are fixed inside the column – this can also be set in the wall.
